Pica Press V2 Is Coming!!!

Yep you heard that right! Pica Press V2 is now in the works and there are some awesome changes! The over all design philosophy has not changed but wow do we have some exciting changes!

First change is there will be no more glue required to put the Pica Press together! I have modelled in Dovetail Joints that are a friction fit that will hold under pressure. Literally this little press will now snap together! This is even going to be more relevant in the modular and endless Pica Press!

Another major change is we have slimmed down the print bed. We have shaved an inch off and done some infill testing. The print bed can now be printed with a 10% infill. This now bring the entire press down to a single roll of filament! Print times have now shrunk on our printer down to under a day for all parts.

One absolutely incredible new benefit to these changes is you can now print in any filament you would like! There are no longer any need for supports on any of the files! Going to take this to out door markets and be in the sun all day use petg or abs, want to make the strongest Pica Press possible print in a carbon fiber filament. Possibilities are endless with the Pica Press 2.0

So when can you see these changes go live? Well I am doing a final test press print right now and will finish up tomorrow, after some further strength testing we should be ready to release the files later this week.
